BIOGRAPHY Early Years I came to the guitar relatively late but prior to picking up the guitar, I had been involved with music through church and school choirs, piano and cornet lessons. Education Following study in my home city of Edinburgh, a first in a graduate diploma and the Eric Kershaw memorial award for plectrum guitar followed when studying at Leeds college of music 1986 - 89. Professional Work Since returning to my native Scotland, I continue to work in a variety of musical situations throughout the UK and Europe, working with many fine musicans and ensembles. My work has included working with: RSNO and ORSB, Carl Davis, concerts, tours, jazz & guitar festivals, TV/radio appearances, educational workshops & guitar and music industry appearances. Educational Programs I have tutored in guitar, composition, writing for film and technology at all levels from high school to higher education. I have developed and co-ran the successful Jazz UK international summer schools with saxophonist Rob Hall and pioneered the European arm of the PNW Film Scoring Program led by double Emmy winning composer Hummie Mann in Edinburgh attracting students from across Europe and the USA.  jazz guitarist Ged Brockie Download Ged’s CV by clicking the icon below.
